On Monday, November 10, Pulitzer Prize–winning author of The Poisoner’s Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New YorkDeborah Blum will speak on the “The Poisoner's Guide to Life.”
 
Purchase a copy of her book in advance and bring to the meeting. She will autograph it in the Exhibit Hall during the morning break on Monday!

On Wednesday, November 12, Dr. Alison Van Eenennaam, Cooperative Extension Specialist in the field of animal genomics and biotechnology at the University of California, Davis will speak on “Food and Feed Safety of Genetically Modified Organisms: The Hype and the Facts.”
 
Dr. Van Eenennaam will provide insight on research and education with the use of animal genomics and biotechnology in livestock production systems. This talk will include controversial topics including cloning and genetic engineering.
