American College of Toxicology’s (ACT) Advanced Comprehensive Toxicology Course has entered its second decade! The course, originally designed as an advanced offering to complement ACT’s Toxicology for Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Scientists course, has been found to be extremely useful in preparing candidates who plan to sit for the American Board of Toxicology (ABT) certification exam.
This course is held in person with an intimate class size (50–60 people/year) to facilitate dynamic interaction with expert speakers and fellow participants. Participants have direct access to speakers to gain clarity on specialized subjects. The in-person format also enables network and relationship building that are key to a successful career in toxicology. Participants will also have access to extensive online materials, including speaker slides and a practice ABT-style exam.
Testimonials from 2024 course participants:
“It is a great course, well designed and delivered by proficient speakers. I would highly recommend for budding toxicologists. It is a great training for toxicologists.”
“I think the course is well designed and covers all topics that are relevant for the ABT exam.”
