ACT Corporate Partner Message

Join us next month, November 2nd, for a webinar hosted by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists that is free to ACT members. Our Senior Director of Scientific Core Laboratories, Phil Kuehl, will present and discuss the current field of inhaled biologics. Dr. Kuehl will detail the current status of multiple publicly disclosed inhaled biological programs to include ASO’s, gene therapies, and other modalities to inform the audience on the current state of the art. Moving then to specific differences in the delivery, evaluation, and analysis related to inhaled biologics. Our webinar, “Delivery of Biologics to the Respiratory Tract” will benefit formulation, pharmacokinetic, toxicology, and regulatory scientists as well as program managers and management teams to better understand risks and options within the field of inhaled biologics.

Phil will walk through an understanding of markers of biodistribution, TK/PK, and toxicology and the assays required to support this work. Together, giving the audience an appreciation for the differences in delivery of biologics to the respiratory tract.

The field of inhaled biologicals continues to evolve. In the past inhaled biologics typically included inhaled insulin. It now includes multiple local and systemic targets and drug classes from ASOs to proteins to gene therapies. Dr. Kuehl briefly cover the current state of the art and where the field is moving towards before open the floor for an active question and discussion session.
